Dr. Sarah Cassidy

In this episode, we have the honor of talking with Dr. Sarah Cassidy about her work with children, schools, and families. Dr. Cassidy is an inspiring therapist, researcher, author, and collaborator. Her many roles include the Founder of the Smithsfield Clinic, Co-Founder and Co-Director, New England Centre OCD & Anxiety Ireland Branch, Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer at RaiseYourIQ.com, Chartered Psychologist, Psychological Society Of Ireland as well as a Council Member of the PSI (where she is involved in working groups to help develop the new guidelines for the assessment of autism in adults and various other projects on how psychological services function in Ireland. Dr. Cassidy has recently co-authored Tired of Anxiety; A Kid's Guide to Befriending Scary Thoughts and Living your Life Anyway (with Dr. Lisa Coyne, linked below), and she remains an active member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. She has more books on anxiety in the works, including a daily ACT journal for kids she is collaborating on with Nic Hooper, Freddy Jackson Brown, and Dr. Duncan Gillard. Her new program Magpies, is also in press as a manual for clinicians and educators interested in working with groups of children with anxiety.
